Job Description
We are looking for a Principal Cloud Engineer with experience delivering technical cloud solutions and transitioning from legacy infrastructure to cloud native services, particularly in the financial markets industry. You will think strategically, big picture and can also zoom down into details when architecting new solutions and solving problems.
This is a newly created position where you can pave the way and make the role your own! You will have the opportunity to take legacy infrastructure and move it into the cloud. Make your mark – use your strong AWS skills to transition computing into the Cloud Native world!

What you'll be doing:

• Improving our services to make Product Teams more autonomous and independent by developing and maturing the DevOps platform.
• Act as lead engineer to resolve platform incidents and problems
• Provide technical leadership to the team through code reviews and guidance on best practice
• Work in an agile team, contributing to ceremonies, leading when required and creating concise user stories for the team.

Desired Skills and Experience
Do you have what it takes? You’ll need:

• Bachelor’s degree in Technology
• 5+ years hands on experience in AWS
• 5+ years experience with Kubernetes
• Software Development/ Programming skills – in any language (Golang, Java, Java Script, Python etc)
• Strong knowledge of and experience with software engineering concepts covering testing, configuration, version control and Agile frameworks
• Strong experience transitioning legacy workloads to cloud native technologies in regulated environments
• Experience with designing and managing DevOps/CICD/SDLC tools including BitBucket, Jenkins, Nexus etc
